Description:
Ally loves her job.
She makes good money, has great work friends, and lives in the best
city in the world.
Sure, being an
upscale escort has its downfalls. The sex is usually bad, and it’s
always about satisfying the client’s needs, not one’s own. But
Ally didn’t end up in this business for lack of other
opportunities. She’s good at what she does and is proud she can
command a high price for it. What Ally really gets out of it, though,
is a sense of freedom, of power and control that she severely lacks
in her private life. She’s closed off from everyone around her,
including herself.
Everything
gets thrown into chaos, however, when she gets the call for a new
client, her fifth of the night. Scott Walker is different. He’s a
young go-getter executive accustomed to getting whatever he wants.
And ultimately he doesn’t want Ally’s body; he wants her heart.
But that’s the one thing she refuses to give up.
Ally is forced to make the hardest decision of her life: to stay in her comfort zone or step outside it for someone who might just be worth the risk.
Ally is forced to make the hardest decision of her life: to stay in her comfort zone or step outside it for someone who might just be worth the risk.
If you think you've
read every story about a hooker with a heart of gold, think again.
Sexy and edgy, Client No.5 will seduce you into the intimate world of
a high-class call girl, strutting its stilettos into the raw, erotic
territory Pretty Woman feared to tread.

Excerpt
I’m downstairs.
Hurry up. The meter’s running! Z
I stared at the text
from Zach and grabbed my handbag off the counter. Jamie was in the
shower getting
ready for work so I
stuck my head into the steamfilled
room.
“I’m going now.
Have a good night.”
“Have fun!” she
said.
I ran down the
stairs and out onto the street, then climbed into the back seat of
the taxi waiting at the curb.
I settled in next to
my brother as we pulled out into the traffic.
“Hey,” I said.
Zach’s expression
was serious. “We need to talk.”
“Okay,” I said
cautiously.
It was always in the
back of my mind that Zach would find out that I didn’t actually
work in a mail room. I
was so lucky that he
hadn’t figured out that I worked for Todd yet. I was sure he knew
we were hiding
something, but I was
pretty confident that his assumptions were wrong. If he had guessed
right, Todd was
probably nursing a
black eye right now.
“I think it’s
time we talked about you and Todd.”
I chewed my lip
while I waited for him to continue. It was better to let him talk
than to accidently give
something away. I
hated lying to my brother, and my stomach churned as the silence
stretched on. We
were close and,
apart from Jamie, he was my best friend. But there were some things
that would only hurt
him
if the truth came out;
my job was one of them.
“You’re not
going to say anything?” he asked.
“There’s nothing
to say.”
He sighed and ran a
hand through his hair.
“Before I left,
Todd asked me what time you’d be home tonight and said to get you
to call him.”
I
knew what that meant. Todd had a job for me after I got home from
Mom’s.
“Maybe he wants to
complain about what an ass you are and he knows I’m the only one
who
understands.”
“Come on, Ally.
I’m trying to have a serious conversation here.” He was
exasperated, and I knew I
couldn’t
joke my way out of this conversation. “I like Todd. He’s a great
guy. But he’s not boyfriend
material. Not for
you.”
“Zach—”
“No,
let me finish. You know what his business is. He sells
women
as sexual objects. He doesn’t respect
those girls. What
makes you think he’ll respect you or treat you better than them?”
I let out a breath,
hating what I was going to have to say. Lying to Zach was the only
part of my job I
detested. It was
obvious that he was only looking out for me like a big brother
should, so I made a snap
decision. Maybe it
was better for him to believe Todd and I were dating.
“Okay, fine. Todd
and I have a thing going.” The lie tasted like bile in my throat
but I was sure it tasted
better than the
truth would. “Don’t worry about it, though,” I added, seeing
his expression cloud over. “I’m
a big girl, and I
won’t let myself be treated like crap.”
“How long has it
being going on?”
I knew my brother
well enough to see that he was fighting to stay calm. To avoid piling
more lies on top of
each other, I had to
make Zach want to stop this conversation.
“Seriously? You
want all the details? Do you want me to tell you how big his cock is,
too?”
Zach grimaced.
“Okay, fine. But if I find out that he’s not treating you right,
I’m stepping in. I don’t care if
he is my best
friend. That guy will get the beating of his life.”
I reached over and
patted his hand. “Thanks, big bro, but I can handle myself.”
Zach nodded slightly
and turned to stare out the window. I took out my phone and sent Todd
a warning
text. It was only
fair.
Just a heads up.
Zach thinks we’re dating. Let him believe it, it’s easier than
the truth. Just watch
your back because
he’s not happy about it. A
He replied instantly
and I shook my head at his response.
